Last Updated 5/6/08:
The official starting date is June 14th.
Information about the draft can be found below. If you have any questions or feedback, then please post here. This thread will also host the draft discussion once it's actually underway.
1) The FA Draft will begin on July 16th
2) Since the draft will only consist of three rounds, we will host the draft on our forums, using a "slow draft" format.
4) Both rookies and unowned players will be available in this draft. A list of ineligible players (players that are owned or that have already been drafted) will be posted in the FA Draft thread itself.
5) The draft order is based on the regular season standings.

Do we have to drop players (replaced by the draft picks) on our roster before the draft or after?

Just like in the Inaugural Draft that we held in 2007, you should post the name of the player that you want to drop in the same post as your draft pick.
For Example:
Pick 1.01
Draft: Barry Sanders, RB, DET
Drop: Ryan Leaf, QB, SDG

I was just browsing the rules and it states that the last place team will receive the first pick in each round. The list you have there is serpentine, did the rule change?

You're right, the order for round two should be reversed, based on the rules. Accordingly, the first post has been edited so that it purveys the correct draft order.
Thanks for your observation.

Would have liked to had stewart fall to me as i see him with more immediate value this season and i could use a second back, however I love mendenhall for the long run and could have a big season if parker happens to go down.

You're right, Rashard would be a great fantasy option if Parker were to sustain an inury. It might not take a Parker tragedy for Mendenhall to produce, though, as he could very well get the goal-line carries in 2008. By the way, nice job dropping Leftwich. That had to be one of the most difficult decisions of your life.

wow! tougher decision at 1.07 than i thought. continue with the rookie running back trend (ray rice or felix jones) or try to deepen my receiver corp. in the end decided to go with the best rookie receiver and address team needs.

i was thinking wr too but i had to handcuff barber. dallas has a strong offense so if barber is injured ill be glad i have felix jones. i would have liked to get more young depth at wr, but still like i said, i couldnt pass on jones.

I agree with you on the handcuff Dobber. As weak as many parts of my team are, I couldn't afford to pass on Rice when given the chance to handcuff him to McGahee.
